This is 100% inspired by this picture > [link]
I have lately been straying away from how I originally figgured out how to paint digitaly; take a low opacity brush and make many many small strokes and slowely blotch in detail. I forgot how fun it was to paint in this way. Also, lately, I've been using this stupid low contrast look for everything and it's starting to wear on me. So this morning I decided to try something different, and inspired by the picture above ^ and the song I was listening to on loop "Raindrops Prelude" by Chopin (my favorite piano solo ever) I just started painting. I finished 95% of this picture in about 3 hours, the next 2 hours were spent playing videogames interspersed with me trying my damndest to give this girl a decent looking face. My god, that has to be the worst angle to draw faces at. Anyways, this was really just an experiment that turned out rather well. I think I'm going to continue doing paintings this way, it's much faster and more fun and the results are more colorful. Chow peeps.  |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
